Just wondering how much love is floating out there for Vernon Wells? Are his best days past or will he come roaring back? He is sitting on waivers I have my big boy pants on so I can make a decision on my own and will but always have liked to see what the general population is thinking - any response is appreciated

Depends a lot on:
- How deep your league is
- How good your current OF is
- Who you'd have to drop for him
Generally, I think he's droppable in a 10-team mixed. He should be owned, I think, as a #3 OF (when he's not slumping) in a 12-teamer, but there may be other FA guys just as good. I certainly wouldn't drop a decent player for him.

I agree. It really depends on who you would have to drop for him. I am holding onto him in a 12 team league because there aren't any better options.
Post you roster.

Thanks guys for the responses - very considerate and appreciated. I already have Crawford, Choo, and McCutcheon - so I am placing his value on who he was and could be - not so much who he is now - I would be dropping Moreland and using him as a Utility slot. our league is a 12 team H2H with a 100 transaction limit and I am a recovering transaction junkie - 3 days sober - praise the lord

I would take him over Moreland personally.

Moreland is completely droppable in your league.

In order for him to come "roaring back" he would have had to have been "roaring" in the first place. Vernon Wells is done. He is too scared to dive and slide in the field, he'd prefer not to run all out on the bases and his power has never been that great.
Yes you should drop Moreland, but I'm sure there is a much much better option than Wells out there. Since your league is H2H I'd look at adding a specialist type player who is heavy in one or two stats instead of average across the board. It gives you a much better shot at week to week counting stats.
