Kuroda is a solid pitcher...doesn't hurt your ERA/WHIP, will get a decent amount of wins, and avg. strikeouts. I don't think he's AS GOOD as he's been pitching recently, though...
I want to get Michael Young before his price tag goes up when he gets 2B eligibility and I desperately need upgrades at MI and batting average. Other owner doesn't have another 3B option, so I'd need to send something in return, but don't want to give up Youk. I don't think Reynolds alone will do it, so I'm thinking of adding a pitching upgrade, which he should like given his staff's start to the season.
How does this sound: My Reynolds/Kuroda for his Young/Bumgarner? Is it 1. a reasonable offer, and 2. something he might actually accept?

As long as he accepts it, Kuroda and Reynolds aren't heavy losses.
I like Michael Young and Bumgarner long-term. The Rangers will continue to hit without Hamilton (they were hitting when he started slow) and Bumgarner will find his groove, but be patient.

It's a close call. Kuroda is really not bad at all, as you mentioned. But I'd pull the trigger. It's certainly a reasonable trade. Not entirely sure if the other guy will bite on it...but Bumgarner has looked bad so far. So he might want to sell low there. If you need batting average help, Michael Young is an improvement over Reynolds. I say do it.
I actually like it. Young is a much more stable producer than Reynolds. Bumgarner has been bad his first two outings, but I like him as a buy-low with upside and Kuroda isn't super special IMO.
