Should I add any of these HOT players???

Here is my starting lineup...
C - Matt Weiters
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Howie Kendrick
3B - Michale Young
SS - Elvis Andrus
OF - Ichiro
OF - Matt Holliday
OF - Jason Hayward
Util - Adrian Gonzalez
BN - C - Russell Martin
BN - 1B/OF - Aubrey Huff
BN - 2B/3B/OF - Martin Prado

There are some really hot hitters on the FA list... Just wondering if anyone thinks I should add them... I'm thinking I might need some depth at SS, what do you all think?

Here are some of the available guys...

- SS/2B - Angel Sanchez (Hou) - .342avg, 8R, 1HR, 6RBI, 1SB
- OF - Sam Fuld (TB) - .321avg, 5R, 1HR, 3RBI, 5SB
- 2B/3B/SS - Maicer Izturis (LAA) - .325avg, 4R, 1HR, 5RBI, 2SB

Those are the 3 guys I'm considering adding, mainly for depth as I feel my starting 9 is pretty solid...

Thoughts???

I'd stick with what you've got. You have some guys that have got off to fairly slow starts but could have some monster weeks for you. None of the guys you mention have the pedigree to do this long term in my opinion. Help with mine?

Yup, all players get hot and it's just hard to ignore when it happens at the beginning of the year because then the stats really show it. The players you listed will be off and on rosters all season long while your team is full of guys that need to stay rostered...I'd look to deal one of your catchers though, no reason to have 2. Absolutely keep the guys you have.

Only reason I have 2 catchers is because I'm not 100% sold on Weiters right now. I drafted him pretty late, but, I know his upside is huge... Being a keeper league, thats mainly why I took him because its tough to get great stats from the catcher position... I'm starting Martin right now cuz he's on fire, but, I'm sure he'll come back down to earth soon lol...

Also, If I only have 1 catcher, what should I do when his team doesn't play? just pickup a random one for 1 game?

I wouldn't drop anyone from your team for the available guys listed.

Also, I personally only carry 1 catcher. On days that his team doesn't play or he sits for a game I just leave that position open. I definitely wouldn't keep picking up catchers when your guys isn't playing. When your guy doesn't play just leave it for a day.

That being said, like the previous poster suggested, I would try moving a catcher. Not sure what your pitching staff looks but maybe move a C for a SP if needed.
