Must read websites for fantasy news/advice

Postby drez » Tue Apr 12, 2011 5:43 am

I'm a new player this season and while I'm having fun I feel like I'm shooting in the dark. Beyond obvious types of moves (picking stars like Hanley Ramirez), I feel like I'm guessing at roster changes and free agent/waiver pick ups. I was curious if there are any news sites/blogs/sites with fantasy baseball advice that can help me make more educated roster moves and keep me up to date with the latest.

I have an rss reader I use for other news, so I'd like to add any sites you guys recommend to that list.

Thanks so much!

You're at it, my friend. Head to the top of the forums and post questions you may have in the Draft, Trade, Keeper, Waiver Forum. There's some great advice up there. Check out some of the more popular sites like Rotoworld, and read the articles here at the Cafe.

There are three websites I visit daily.

here: The message boards are great, but beyond that the daily articles are top notch as well. Definitely don't just limit yourself to the content found on the message boards, give a read to the articles as well as there are some helpful nuggest of info in them.

thehardballtimes.com : Growing stable of writers there (I write there, so perhaps you could say I'm biased, but there is a lot of good content there) and fresh content on a daily basis.

fangraphs.com : great site for pointing out player who may be a bit lucky/unlucky. They've kind of broken the site down into subsites, and rotographs which falls under the fangraphs umbrella is the fantasy focused portion.

Best of luck this year!

Fantasy Rundown has become my new go-to site. It just aggregates articles from all of the major sites onto one. Great time-saver

can anyone suggest a site where they show the batting order and the rotation(+bullpen) all in one page? It'd be nice if closer updates are quick also. :-D
