1. Taillon - a flat out special arm
2. Norris - a catcher with power and plate discipline
3. Matzek - a power lefty that gets k's but needs to iron out his control
4. Mesoraco - a catcher that has power and looks to contribute in 2011
5. Skaggs - a good young lefty that has a ways to go
6. Delino DeShields Jr - steal potential and could end up at 2B or CF
7. Eric Young Jr - looks more and more like a utility player to back up 2B and the OF
8. Chris Marrero - could still become a 20ish homerun hitter at 1B which isn't too special

Pretty bleh.

Eric Young Jr looks like a utility player to me.
Delino DeShields Jr has SB potential, but only has an average bat.
Norris could be useful but doesn't have a standout skill.
Chris Marrero is probably below replacement level at 1B.
Devin Mesoraco I actually like a lot, he's got power for a catcher, however he's not a complete hitter and probably won't have a high AVG.
Tyler Skaggs has a lot of talent but lacks polish and doesn't have a playable change.
Tyler Matzek has all the talent in the world but looked inconsistent and lost last year.
Tallion is an elite talent but so far away.

I'm definitely leaning on the negative side of all these prospects, but my point is that there isn't a can't-miss, elite guy here. A few of these guys will pan out, but this isn't a great group.

Ability to draw a walk is not a skill?

I would also consider Tailon an elite prospect. He's going to make almost everybody's top 20.

Unless you're in an OBP league it's not a standout skill for fantasy. Norris definitely has upside but for a fantasy catcher I don't think he'll be a star. I agree Tallion is elite, and I said so in my post.

The problem with Norris that the reason that he walks alot is because he swings and misses a lot. A better contact hitter put the ball in play in a 2-0, 2-1 or 3-1 count. Norris is a lot like Tyler Flowers before 2010. Each of them BB'd a lot, K'd a lot, had good power and came with below avg defense. If Norris doesn't stick at catcher then he really becomes uninteresting and the Nats have a very good defensive catcher with a solid bat currently (ramos).
