Contreras will have the job until at least the all star break and possibly longer. Franklin is on thin ice right now. Since Franklin has been so shaky I think this is ok for you.

while I agree with what's been said, you don't have anyone else to drop? Franklin will be given plenty of rope and is 2 years removed from being one of the most dominant closers in the game. Ah hell, lots of guys have been dominant and dropped off the map (BJ Ryan). Go ahead and do it. Help with mine?

it's an unfortunate position to be in... neither really has significant upside.

yeah I would do it, in an 8 team league unless your roster is really deep you can gamble on players more so then like a 16 team, 27 deep roster. But yeah Contreras has the closer job until Lidge returns and if Contreras continues well in the role he may even keep the job when Lidge returns. Franklin, right now has 3 Blown Saves and 1 Save he still has rope and I really don't see the Cardinals changing him out for another closer, but it is time to find another closer/hot closer. So if you can pick up Contreras I would do it.
