Gardner and Broxton for J. Upton?

Postby Crimedogg32 » Sun Apr 10, 2011 1:48 pm

I was offered Gardner and Broxton for Drew, Buchholz and Franklin. I am strong on steals and saves (team below) so I thought I should counter the offer since I didn't like Buchholz or Franklin. Would it be smart to counter Gardner and Broxton for Justin Upton, or am I valuing Gardner and Broxton to highly? I was surprised at how low Upton's stats were last year but I need a middle of the lineup bat.

Thanks for the help

It would take more to get my Justin Upton.

You could try but Upton is considered a hitter with huge upside so it would take more for me to move him. Might depend on if the other guy needs a closer but even then I am not sure it will matter.

Can't hurt to offer but it might not be enough to land Upton. If he does take it I think its a great deal for you.

Thoughts?

You could try B.Gardner/J.Broxton for J.Upton.

I wouldn't think that other Manager would do that...but never hurts to try.

You have some power in J.Votto and I.Kinsler. M.Holliday just came back today and should provide power as well.

You might as well try, not like its going to hurt you...just dont expect it to be accepted. He'd probably want a guy like Bruce...which I would pass on.
