Who is MLB's Best 1st Baseman

MLB Network has Miguel Cabrera as #2 and Albert Pujols as #1.....What do you all think?

I still peg Pujols as the #1 guy, but I don't think you can go wrong with Votto or Gonzo over Miggy for the #2 spot.

Votto had an off year, but he is young and improving. Gonzo (EDIT - Gonzo = Adrian Gonzalez 1B BOS) didn't have a HR total that many people expected the move to Fenway would produce. I think he hits a few more HRs in 2012. Miggy looks like he is starting to decline. At least slightly anyhow.

Agree. Pujols is still #1, but the gap is closing. Last season's top WAR (FanGraphs) scores for 1B are below.

Now, Albert missed more than a month with the forearm injury last season. He's been a guy that historically posts better than a 8.0 (only 7.5 in 2010). I personally like Votto slightly more than Cabrera. They're pretty much 2a & 2b, IMO.

True, but since NL teams have less starting positions to fill (eight compared to nine), they could afford to spend more per position.

I still think you have to keep Pujols as #1 Throw a blaket over Cabrera, Votto and Gonzo. I'd be more than happy to have any one of the 3 on my roster. Fielder would be in there if i knew where he ends up. In a dynasty league i'd go with Votto followed by Fielder. At his size, i can't see Fielder producing as long as Votto.
