Votto had an off year, but he is young and improving. Gonzo (EDIT - Gonzo = Adrian Gonzalez 1B BOS) didn't have a HR total that many people expected the move to Fenway would produce. I think he hits a few more HRs in 2012. Miggy looks like he is starting to decline. At least slightly anyhow.
Agree. Pujols is still #1, but the gap is closing. Last season's top WAR (FanGraphs) scores for 1B are below.
Miguel Cabrera (7.3)
Joey Votto (6.9)
Adrian Gonzalez (6.6)
Prince Fielder (5.5)
Albert Pujols (5.1)
Now, Albert missed more than a month with the forearm injury last season. He's been a guy that historically posts better than a 8.0 (only 7.5 in 2010). I personally like Votto slightly more than Cabrera. They're pretty much 2a & 2b, IMO.
