James Loney of Ben Francisco (WHIR)

Postby daydreamset » Sat Apr 09, 2011 10:32 pm

Loney is warming my bench and Francisco is in the FA pool.

12 team mixed league, H2H. I currently have:

C - John Buck
1B - Adam Dunn (but since he's on the DL, I've been playing Aubrey Huff here)
2B - Mike Aviles
3B - Mark Reynolds
SS - Alexei Ramirez
CI - Chipper Jones
MI - Juan Uribe
OF - Heyward
OF - Braun
OF - Josh Hamilton
OF - Gardner
UTIL - Pagan

BN - Crisp
BN - Loney

This is my pitching staff in case you'd rather look there for a player to drop for Francisco:

SP - Sabathia
SP - Weaver
RP - Lyon
RP - Walden
P - Buccholz
P - Bumgarner
P - Venters
P - Brian Wilson
P - Travis Wood
P - Ian Kennedy

What would you do (WHIR just leave a link)

I dropped Loney myself recently to snag Tabata, so I'm not high on him. However, you don't really need another OF. But Francisco is hot now, and I'd expect him to keep an OF spot when D. Brown returns. Are there any good 1B or IF options available to drop Loney for? I"m not a big Crisp fan, but he has been getting a lot of SB and has a decent avg. so I see why you still have him.

Help me in return please: viewtopic.php?t=426822

Francisco for me. Loney is just a guy. Francisco has 20/20 potential if he can see the field enough.

I suppose MI is where I need the most help. And it's so shallow. I went into the draft looking to own the OF and while I got some nice, late CI options, my MI is inconsistent at best. Uribe is a solid flex, but Aviles is starting to worry me.

Between Maicer Izturis and Orlando Cabrera, who do you think has the best shot at having a great fantasy season? And would you drop Loney and give up Francisco for either of these players?

EDIT** I should also make it known that my league uses OPS instead of AVG.
