I just can't believe that Ron Washington wouldn't look at batter vs. pitcher matchups when determining his lineup. The fact that Napoli sat against a guy he owns (4-8, 3HR, 6RBI) says that he isn't going to be getting hardly any playing time. And it's even more frustrating because Torrealba is terrible at hitting.

so now our hopes lie in Borbon or Murphy sucking (Borbon is the easy bet) so that Moreland can play the OF, opening up 1B for him. I wish the Rangers would call up another catcher so Napoli can be used more

Borbon sucks and will continue to suck....but.....he is the only legitimate center fielder on the roster so he has a full time job until/unless Texas decides to promote somebody from AAA or make a trade. I personally think a trade is more likely than anything. Borbon sucking is not going to have any affect whatsoever on Napoli.
Murphy, on the other hand, would have some affect but I highly doubt he forgets how to hit.

He was, but they treat him as an emergency center fielder. He doesn't have the necessary range to play there full time.

The definite answer to that is... maybe.

Who the heck knows?

I sure don't like having him on my roster...
