what's the situation with Napoli?

I just can't believe that Ron Washington wouldn't look at batter vs. pitcher matchups when determining his lineup. The fact that Napoli sat against a guy he owns (4-8, 3HR, 6RBI) says that he isn't going to be getting hardly any playing time. And it's even more frustrating because Torrealba is terrible at hitting.

Borbon sucks and will continue to suck....but.....he is the only legitimate center fielder on the roster so he has a full time job until/unless Texas decides to promote somebody from AAA or make a trade. I personally think a trade is more likely than anything. Borbon sucking is not going to have any affect whatsoever on Napoli.

Murphy, on the other hand, would have some affect but I highly doubt he forgets how to hit.

He was, but they treat him as an emergency center fielder. He doesn't have the necessary range to play there full time.

hmm...well I stand corrected. Listening to the Ranger broadcast now and apparently Washington said he is open to giving Murphy a start or two per week in CF but only in ballparks that don't have huge center fields. So if they do play him there a little, it does open up some playing time for C. Davis or Napoli. Davis has apparently been working on his OF skills and might be a candidate to play LF rather than playing Moreland in the OF.
