What do the Royals save if they call Hosmer up in September as opposed to June?

Before the season development time and the potential that they could delay calling him up until June 2012. But so far it's looking like he might not need a lot more development time and it looks like it will be impossible to keep him in the minors until next June or even off the opening day roster. So July/August is looking more reasonable as a callup. But at the same time we're still looking at a small sample and if you look at the same small sample you would conclude that Mous won't be ready for the majors this year.

He's only 40 for 93 on the season. 3 homers and 14 RBI. And an OBP well over .500.

13 for for his last 22 at bats. 2 homers, 4 RBI and 7 walks.
