This is my first go at fantasy baseball and I'm having a little trouble valuing players. If you leave a link I'll do my best to help anyone out.
8 team rotisserie league Batters Stat Categories: R ,HR, RBI, SB, AVG Pitchers Stat Categories: W, SV, Strikeouts, ERA, WHIP
My roster: C: Joe Mauer 1B: Tex 2B: Robinson Cano 3B: Aramis Ramirez SS: Jeter OF: McCutchen OF: Choo OF: Ellsbury Util: changes by the matchup Util: changes by the matchup
SP: Cliff Lee SP: CC Sabathia SP: Ted Lilly RP: Heath Bell RP: Brian Wilson P: K-Rod P: Matt Garza P: Wandy Rodriguez
5 BN slots (and my rotating Util players): Brian Roberts (2b), Nick Markakis (OF), Casey McGehee (3b), David Ortiz (Util), Aubrey Huff (1b, OF), Bobby Abreu (OF, splits starts with Ellsbury right now)
Wilson just came off of the DL and didn't have such a good game but he might take a few outings before he shakes the rust off. I also know that I have an open slot and I should put a pitcher in it (considering Lowe, Guthrie, or Britton). I'm also not sure if I should have more pitching depth in general.
Available pitchers: Fernando Rodney, Chris Tillman, Jeremy Guthrie, Zach Britton, Derek Lowe, Travis Wood, Sean Burnett, Alexi Ogando, Jorge De La Rosa, Joe Nathan, Trevor Cahill, Ryan Franklin, Phil Hughes (I actually drafted him), C.J. Wilson, Colby Lewis
Brandon Webb is a FA, too, and I don't have anyone on the DL right now. Think he's worth a pickup and I can drop a position player or just have him in case of depth? We have a 50 move limit and I've made seven already (bad draft) so any advice there would be good because I don't want to waste a move on him if I shouldn't drop someone from my bench when he gets back.
1. Pull the trigger. SP is so good now that, even though Lee is obviously better than Oswalt, getting a stud OF in addition is a big deal. 2. Stash Webb on the DL. 3. Use the open spot for another SP: Trevor Cahill, Travis Wood, or Jorge De La Rosa would be my picks, in that order. I'm assuming Jhoulys Chacin, Jon Niese, and RA Dickey are gone?
Let me know if I can be of any more help.
Good luck!

I pulled the trigger on the deal but I don't have the extra roster slot because it was a 2 for 1.
Jhoulys Chacin and Jon Niese are both still available but Cahill was snatched up before I could add him. I have enough outfielders that I could let one go (Kakes, Abreu) for a pitcher. I also need to free up a slot to be able to add someone, even to the DL.
Current roster: C: Joe Mauer 1B: Tex 2B: Robinson Cano 3B: Aramis Ramirez SS: Jeter OF: McCutchen OF: Werth OF: Ellsbury Util: changes by the matchup Util: changes by the matchup
If I were you, I'd drop Abreu or Huff and grab Jhoulys Chacin. He's an ace in the making and could be as good as a top 20 starter by the end of the season.
Good luck!
