Who should I trade? Need SS WHIR

Postby colt4523 » Wed Apr 06, 2011 8:59 pm

I am in desperate need of an upgrade at SS. I plan on packaging 2 of the following pitchers: Holland, Britton, and Pavano for an upgrade? My SS right now is Pennington (basically useless). Which 2 should I deal? AL only league.
We start the following:
3 sp
2 rp
3 P

my staff is
Danks
Lewis
Jackson
Gio
Pavano
Britton
Holland
Mike Gonzalez
Nathan
Frank Franciso
Wuertz

thoughts?

UGH, with that staff, I would think that you have more need for pitching. If you insist on upgrading at short, it's likely going to cost you more than you can afford. Target cheap picks like Starling Castro. An owner might not be stuck on him, but he'll be good value for you on the cheap.

Or you could go out and get Hanley or Tulo!

Gio has the most buzz surrounding him right now, so you could probably leverage that for someone like Castro or Alexi. Pair him with a closer and you could probably get up to the Rollins level, maybe. Maybe,

Thanks for your help.

Maybe your Japanese rookie SS for the Twins (could not spell his name if I tried) or maybe go after someone like Andrus, though I think he is not going to be attainable with those options...Maybe a long shot here, but Jed Lowrie off of WW...those are my thoughts...you will not get a top SS...pennington is not bad though he only gives you steals.

Try to deal Britton and Holland... Britton had a nice start so someone might want him, and I don't see Pavano being too enticing after his debut... even though it was just one start, probably just going to have to hang onto him... Holland can get Ws on Texas so you may be able to deal those two for an upgrade at SS... good luck
