Pick Three, WHIR-Drabek, Wilson, Lewis, Hellickson.

Pitching Question. Kyle Drabek is a free agent in my league.

I have three pitchers I am not in love with in CJ Wilson, Colby Lewis, and Jeremy Hellickson. Which three do you keep out of WIlson, Lewis, Hellickson and Drabek. WHIR. THANK YOU!!

What kind of league do you play in? Are there keepers involved? While their numbers won't wow you every time, I'd happily have those 3 over Drabek right now. I'd rank them Lewis, Hellickson, Wilson and then Drabek. Drabek could move up, but he's currently unproven. There is a reason that he's unowned and the others are owned in most leagues.

It is a 6x6 (ops and QS are the 6th categories) roto league with only 8 teams. All of them are stacked. My pitching looks like this:
Josh Johnson
Cole Hamels
Jered Weaver
CJ Wilson
Colby Lewis
Jeremy Hellickson

Carlos Marmol
Joe Nathan
Craig Kimbrel
Francisco Cordero

Along with Drabek, Matt Harrison is also available. As noted, Wilson, Lewis and Hellickson make me nervous. What I want to do is drop one of those three, pick up David Aardsma and stash him in my unused DL Spot, and then pick up either the pitcher I dropped or Drabek or Harrison. Once Aardsma is healthy, I can use a closer in trade offers. Any other thoughts?? WHIR. Thank you.

Keep what you have for now. I like Drabek, but I can't see dropping any of those pitchers for him.

I agree with the above post. You have 3 good pitchers and it's too early to let one of them go. Hang onto what you have for now and monitor Drabek.
