Who are you getting?
What are the league rules?
What are your needs?
Is Cuddyer eligible at 1B/3B/OF in your league?

On the surface...knowing nothing...well, Capps will get a few save opps in MIN but is unlikely to put up any real memorable stats unless Nathan goes down.

Cuddyer's power took a hit last year but he's a very solid player with multiple position value.

Yes he is 1B/3B/OF eligible

Basic Yahoo league H2H, non keeper, traded Young in a deal for Hanley, so I need 3B.

I do have Polanco but was nervous about his elbow and/or wanted to move him to 2B (where I have Figgins)

Plus I already have RP's : Burnett, Bard, Bailey (dl), Fuentes......letting the closer stuff shake out but Capps would be expendable to me I think??

Thoughts? I appreciate the help, 1st FB league 4 me!

Do it...no question. There are 10 guys out there like Capps prolly sitting in your FA pool. Cuddyer is a proven player that can plug your 3B hole. Then, you can go out and try to find a high upside 3B that offers more potential than Cuddyer. When that happens, move Cuddyer to your OF or bench and enjoy him as a great insurance policy at 3 positions. Try to find a buy-low guy like Sandoval or maybe take a chance on a bounceback year from Mark Reynolds (with limited risk considering you're protected with Cuddyer).

Easy accept to me as well. I don't see Capps getting many save chances in Minnesota besides the occasional one after Nathan goes back to back nights or throws a lot of pitches,

Manager would not trade Cuddyer right now or in the near future so;

I traded Capps for Span. Needed some depth at OF & consistency/speed.

Agreed with allof your thoughts on Capps so grabbed Span instead of letting him go for nothing with Nathan making his way back!

Capps had 2 great innings vs. the Yankees tonight tho:)
