Hamilton for ARod - WHIR

Postby panjam » Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:48 am

Long term, 10 team keeper (keep 8) and was just offered Hamilton for my ARod.

My team:

C - Posey
1B - Butler
2B - Kinsler
3B - Longo
SS - Nishioka
OF - Braun
OF - CarGo
OF - Rasmus
UTIL - ARod
BN - BRoberts/Rajai Davis

SP - J Johnson, Greinke, Strasburg, Gio, Lilly, Matusz, Morrow
RP - Street, C Perez

My starting pitching is in rough shape right now - Greinke, Strasburg, Morrow, Matusz all on the DL (only 2 DL spots), so my plan was to move ARod for a solid starter or possibly a decent SS. I like this offer - Hamilton's 6 years younger than ARod, but it doesn't really fill a need for me. My OF is pretty stacked as it is, adding Hamilton would make it ridiculous. I'm not sure it's really a move worth making.

Should I accept?? WHIR.

I would not make this trade because of the fact that age really doesn't seem to effect AROD for some strange reason! Plus, Hamilton seems to get injured more often, and is less consistent. Finally, AROD is on a better team.

I am going to say no to this one. I know its a keeper but I think Arod has a few more years of production left the guy is a machine. 3B is a weak position this year I think you could do better than Hamilton.

Pretty even deal IMO. I'd lean towards making the deal since this is a keeper and Hammy is the younger player.

but more of an injury prone and ARod should rebound. OF looking good. I would enjoy the company of ARod ;-7
