Which Of will have the best over all season, Carlos Quentin or Vernon Wells? Thanks in advance.

Yuck.

Sorry, but both are HUGE question marks for players who are capable of performing the way they can.

For Quentin, the problem is injuries. But Vernon has hit horribly in Anaheim, and is so up and down each year. What's the rest of your roster?

Without any more info, I'd lean Quentin for upside, but let's see what you have.

Rotoworld projects Quentin will hit two more homers, but Wells wins all four other standard categories by significant margins, especially the RBI and AVG.

I may just be enchanted by watching Quentin bash the Tribe's pitchers all over the park the last two days! I just don't want to miss on a waiver wire gem!

For what it's worth, here are Vernon Wells' career numbers at Anaheim (159 at-bats):

.226 .267 .340 .607
3 homers, 3 stolen bases

ZiPs Projections for Quentin and Wells are as follows:
VW: .265 .318 .451 21 homers, 77 rbis, 9 sbs
QC: .261 .358 .495 25 homers, 88 rbis, 4 sb's

Are any of the following guys available still?

Nate McLouth
Cameron Maybin
Travis Snider
Brandon Belt
David Murphy

McLouth and Snider may not outproduce VW or QC, but at least offer some intrigue, and Maybin and Belt offer nice risk/reward potential. Murphy, of course, depends on playing time.

Quentin who is underrated. Plus he's in a great park and lineup.

I dropped Wells for Quentin. Wells not hitting well in 159 at Bats in Anaheim, and the fact that Chicago added Dunn makes me feel more secure with Carlos Quentin. I had wells last year and he was just as streaky. I will take a flyer on the hot hand for now in Quentin. I appreciate all the feedback on this post today. You guys really helped me with my decision!
