Nice to see him punting yet another golden chance for him to be a MLBer. Fool the Royals once, shame on Gordon. Fool the Royals 4 times, shame on the Royals.
I'm holding out hope for him, that was against Jered Weaver too... plus he went 2 for 4 last night so hopefully he'll finally figure it out this year...

Well his 3rd strikeout on opening day was nearly a 3 run walk off HR. Early in the AB he hit one down the right field line that was just foul. It had the distance.
Obviously he'll never be the player he was hyped to be as a prospect, but he's in his prime years now and still plenty capable of being a quality player.

I'm sure the stats don't lie, but everytime I watch him make an at bat, he looks lost at the plate and at least 3 times I've seen him swing at 3 straight pitches out of the zone for a quick strikeout. Not once while watching him have I thought, "This is a good player once he gets it all together".
I wouldn't write up too much into it. He was facing the likes of Kazmir and an Angels pen brought in for garbage time. The entire KC starting lineup, except one, had a hit today.
