Update: Stanton (hamstring) will not be able to play in the field until this weekend at the earliest, MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro reports.
Recommendation: Manager Edwin Rodriguez said Stanton should be available to pinch-hit if necessary, but he also noted that Stanton is only at about “65, 70 percent.” Since Stanton will not be allowed to play the field, he will not be in the starting lineup for at least the next three games. Stanton still has not played since the season opener, but fantasy owners should remain patient and continue using other options until he returns.
Reasons why I worry:
1. 65-70 percent?! I feel like they always try to sugar coat it for the media and fans... so I'm really thinking 50%
2. Nagging hamstring injuries are the worst. Once you've pulled something, you're a lot more prone to pulling it again.
