First REAL draft, please rate!

Postby Devil Doc » Wed Mar 30, 2011 10:33 pm

Sorry I haven't been on the boards more frequently, the Navy doesn't sleep and apparently neither do I...who says there is a "shore" command...anyway...my first real draft. I think I did pretty well, went kinda heavy on my pitchers at first, and I think it hurt me in the long run. Not a whole lot of power in that line up, but my BA and SB might help me with that. I give myself a C+/C, will probably need to move one of my SP to gain some power. THANKS GUYS!

I hope this is enough info...really nervous about what others think. Its not a money league, but I won the Football league with these same guys, so to take Baseball too would give me ultimate bragging rights!

I like this team. I do think moving one of your pitchers may be a good idea. But you stuck with the AVG and SB to go along with the pitching, so as long as you're fortunate enough to maintain consistency you could be in good shape. Having no real power also affects RBI though, so there is definitely some room for improvement. My one concern is that in a 10 team league there can be really dominant teams and I don't quite see yours as contending there, but I think you have a solid enough foundation that with some good management you'll be in the running. Good luck!

I've alreday had a few offers for Jiminez...nothing of any value, but guys are looking to move players already. If there's one thing i've learned playing fantasy sports, is that there are managers who use patience, and then those who have knee jerk reactions to the fact that thier top player is barely hitting the ball and want to bail on him...im hoping i can take advantage of those type of managers.

Unfortunatly, i inherited this team, and the dominant teams were already established. On top of that, with 4 new managers, we were put in a random draft order instead of worst to best, so my team finished last the year before, and ended up drafting 8 out of 10.

Thanks for the help brother!
