Rate my team, My first baseball team.

I just finished drafting my first Baseball fantasy team. Im an avid fantasy hockey player and thought I would give baseball a try this year. Just wanted some advice on what everyone thought of my team and what I should or shouldnt do with it. Keep in mind I dont know any of the players for the most part in MLB besides Rockies players.

It as roto league with basic 5+5 scoring and games capped at 162 per position. Positions are C, 1b, 2b, SS, 3b, OF, OF, OF, UTIL, UTIL, BN, BN, BN, BN and for pitching; SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, P, BN

Thanks for the help in advance. Where am I weak, where am I strong? Also is there any possible sleeper i should look for in the free agents?

first off, I'd like to say welcome to fantasy baseball. Second off, I'd like to say your team looks pretty good. assuming a fairly standard sized league, this is a pretty good roster. your hitting is quality and deep, and your pitching is also deep. The only glaring lack is saves, but those can be found (or simply ignored). Its hard to comment further without knowing how big your league is or who is available on the Waiver wire, but I like your team.

In that case, it really is an all round great team. One minor thing though, is you'll probably find that bench pitchers are more valuble than bench hitters, particuarly with the 162 game cap. It might make sense to move some of your bench hitters for more starting pitchers.

I like this team a lot, for a first team you did really well. I agree with Lsquad, as far as pitching depth. And I really didn't think much of it until a year ago when the majority of my pitchers hit the DL and my bench was more hitters...esp when guys are throwing every 5 days, its good to have some depth to compete during the week.

I think this is a great team, especially for a first time. Solid pitching and a very good offense. Great balance of Speed and power and pitching. Overall I'd say a 8.5 or 9/10. Very good.
