So I'm in a 15-team dynasty league with 25-man Major League rosters and 15-man minor league rosters. Two caveats exist:
1. Players don't really need to be minor leaguers. We simply must either sign them with less than 3 years experience in the bigs or pass waivers.
2. If a player hasn't reached AA yet, he is exempt from our 40 man rosters.
****Updated farm as follows:
C: Tyler Flowers
2B: Brett Lawrie
SS: Sean Rodrirugez
3B: Mat Gamel
OF: Ryan Kalish, Kyle Blanks, George Springer, Josh Sale
SP: Randall Delgado, Travis Wood, Jhoulys Chacin, Mark Rogers
RP: Chris Sale, Jake McGee, Jeremy Jeffress, Daniel Schlereth
I went ahead and signed Randall Delgado and Josh Sale. So now down to 1 prospect to sign:
Danny Duffy
Zach Lee
Stetson Allie
Matt Harvey
Michael Choice
AJ Cole
Jerry Sands
Taylor Jungmann
Dylan Bundy
Jackie Bradley Jr
Daniel Norris
Blake Swihart
The most important thing (other than talent and likelihood of success) is that anybody who hasn't reached AA will NOT count on my 40-man roster, thus allowing me to sign a FA such as Dayan Viciedo, Daniel Murphy (Mets), Lucas Duda, Wilson Ramos, Lars Anderson, Brandon McCarthy, or Brad Lincoln.
So my point--- while I LOVE Duffy, it means Duffy only. Lee, or another sub-AA guy means Lee (or other guy) PLUS one of the above free agents.
Is it worth it, or is Duffy that good?
