Here's my ESPN standard roto auction team. I was confident going in but feel I may have screwed it up, based on the projected ESPN standings. Did I screw it up? What are my chances? Thanks in advance!

Just as a foreword, don't worry too much about ESPN's projections. They are just but one slice of the total spectrum of the fantasy baseball world, and their projections are not very renown for accuracy.

Before I can say anymore, how many teams are in this league?

Looks like you have excellent pitching, especially if the youngins continue to improve over last season. I don't think you'll winning the BA category, but pretty solid otherwise, especially if Reynolds finds new life in Baltimore. Not a fan of Snider based on last two seasons, but he's only 23, so who knows? It's hard to give a true rating without knowing how many teams in your league, but I don't think you screwed things up. What's available on the waiver wire?

I was going to say, for a 12 team it'd be very strong.
It's still a solid 10 teamer, however. Your pitching is strong, and you have a decent amount of offensive upside. If Andrew Bailey becomes DL eligible prior to the season, I'd grab Edwin Jackson. Its tough to gauge the depth of a 10 team league, because often times many rosters look good, but your team should without a doubt be competitive.

Really good staff and lineup. Good amount of SB and HR and decent amount of AVG to be competitive. I really like the Verlander and Lester combo. I'd look to grab Champman or Sale for help with your bullpen

Help with mine?

I think you need to backup Reynolds just in case he implodes. Aviles may be a decent option off the waiver wire. Not a sexy name by any means but he will put up a .300 avg with 15-15 potential.

I like the team for a 10 leaguer but I'm not crazy about it. The strength of the team is definitely in the pitching. Is there a bench spot for pitchers because I would definitely hedge myself with Capps and/or Hensley as backups to Nathan and Nunez respectively.

So the simple answer to your question is no you didn't screw up. But there is definitely room for improvement.

If I pick up Aviles or Chapman, who should I drop? Moreland? One of my relievers?

Personally I'd drop Santana. I don't think he's worth a keep if he's out for most or all of 2011.
