Offered a straight up trade of David Price for Dan Haren in a standard 5 X 5. In my mind, they are similar, and not sure why the offer, but I'd like your opinion. No keepers situation, just simple trade.
Any help would be appreciated!

I think the perception is that Price is a better Pitcher, but personally, I like Haren better. I think you could have gotten more than just Haren for Price, but now that you have proposed it you are kinda stuck. It's not like you cancel it and add another scrub in because your opponent now knows you are willing to do the originally proposed deal.

I guess I wasn't clear. I was offered Price for Haren. Price seems to be going for a bit more in auction, but I'm concerned the Rays aren't quite as good this year. But, Price is just starting to show what he can do.
I like Haren a great deal, since I bought him. But I wanted other inputs on this before I accept or decline.

Let's just say, there's a reason you were offered Price for Haren...
I've actually read more than one article saying to avoid Price this year. I wouldn't go that far, but I do like Haren better than him this year.
After all the pieces that Tampa lost, you'd have to think Price won't duplicate his win total from last year. Haren will be better this year, easily getting you close to 200+ Ks with solid peripherals .
So I'd pass...

The Regression Police are definitely after Price this year, but I've heard some negativity about Haren as well. They are both high-upside pitchers, and close enough that you have to go with your gut. Haren has the track record and pitches in the AL West, so I'm leaning that way personally.
