Don't know too much.

Ok: So - Don't know too much about baseball.. assume I drafted a pretty mediocre team - Thus i'm here for any semblance of advice.

10 Person League (I had the 10th pick)

Poisitions : C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL

Scoring : Points only.

Hitting Categories: R, H, RBI, SB, HR
Pitching: IP, ER, W, SV, K

My team:
C : Joe Mauer
1B: Ryan Howard
2B: Robinson Cano
3B: Pedro Alvarez
SS: Rafael Furcal
OF: Stanton, Granderson, Quentin
Util: Aaron Hill, Jason Bay
Bench: Carlos Lee (1B, OF), Bobby Abreu, Angel Pagan, Omar Infante (2nd, 3rd, SS, OF)

SP: Felix Hernandez, Cliff Lee, Josh Johnson, Roy Oswalt, Matt Cain, Jordan Zimmerman
RP: Joe Nathan, Frank Francisco, Jose Contretas

Just looking for any advice - or anything I should be worried about in the immediate future. More just screwing around in a league with buds who know drastically more about baseball than I do.

This team really isn't bad. I love the rotation you filled out you have some studs. Your IF could be really solid if Alvarez steps up. Only problems are your outfield could be weak depending on how some guys pan out and I'll look to grab another good reliever or two for saves. But saves can be found during the year on the waiver wire

I like this team alot. Thats a fantastic pitching staff and I like Alvarez to have a pretty good year. Your OF is more questionable, but I still think theres potential for very solid production there as well. I''d be happy with the draft.

Thanks guys, honestly I went really hard pitching early on. Guess that's typically not a great fantasy strategy? But... i'm new to it, so hey. I actually had Latos in my pitching as well but traded him straight up for Howard to a guy with a pretty horrid group of SP.

I thought about trying to put together a trade for an OF'er because I know mine are pretty week... but felt giving up one of my starters would be pretty painful - and Didn't feel I had too many worthy bench players to get an upgrade/decent pitchers for one of my starters+an OF.
