I was offered Justin Morneau and Kelly Johnson for Adam Dunn. I could certainly use the upgrade at 2B but Morneau is an injury risk I am hesitant to gamble with.
This team is in a 5x5 scoring, 12 team Head to Head league. We use OBP instead of BA.
C: Miguel Montero 1B: Adrian Gonzalez 2B: Neil Walker 3B: Casey McGehee SS: Elvis Andrus OF: Andrew McCutchen, Hunter Pence, Shane Victorino Util: Adam Dunn Bench: Brett Gardener, Ryan Raburn, Michael Morse
SP: Justin Verlander, Cole Hamels, Gio Gonzalez, James Shields, Edwin Jackson, Carl Pavano RP: Chris Perez, Craig Kimbrel, John Rauch
I would never do this. One reason is you guys use OBP instead of BA. Dunn may turn in a low batting average but he walks 100 times a year also. Dunn will kill you in BA but not so much in OBP. I don't expect Johnson to be as big as an upgrade as you think. Johnson has regressed before and could do it again. I definitely don't expect an increase in numbers. Here is one for you. Two players tied in the NL for the most RBI in the second half at 54: Pujols and Neil Walker. Don't sleep on Pitts offense this year. I would stick.
Have to agree with the above post, in terms of Kelly Johnson regressing, and Dunn being an excellent power source in an OBP league. That's before you consider the uncertainty around Morneau. Stand pat with Dunn.

This may workout in your favor but in my opinion there are still too many question marks surrounding Morneau's health. I'd be inclined to make the deal if he's put up a solid Spring but unfortunately that isn' t the case.
Keep the sure bet you have in Dunn, you really need the power he brings in your lineup.
Yeah stand pat, Dunn is an excellent option in OBP league and Walker could be a big breakout guy at 2nd... Kelly Johnson doesn't do it for me and we all know Morneau ain't playin 162 games (or anywhere in that vicinity). Thnx for the help on mine.
Stand pat. Dunn is going to rake and KJ isn't a big upgrade over Walker. KJ will regress and Morneau has too much risk to be counted on for the whole season.
If Dunn were still on the nationals i'd say make the trade. But in Chicago, he is definitely going to accumulate more RBI's which will vastly improve is worth. When healthy, I think that Morneau alone is a better player, but no one has a crystal ball, stick with your players.
