Fair Trade?

Postby BlackBocks » Mon Mar 28, 2011 10:29 am

I am getting Stanton and Verlander for C.Young and BJ Upton.

I have Holliday and Werth in the OF already...if that helps?

Not a bad deal....buy you may be giving up a lot of sb's. If you're set in that category, then go for it.

I agree with this guy, if you're set in SBs, then I'd do it.

I'm surprised that the other people posting weren't more adamant about this trade. I would do this in a heartbeat and I would do IT NOW! The best player in the deal is Verlander and he has been lights out this spring. I'd take Stanton over BJ Upton any day given his power potential. It's not like Upton has ever lived up to his potential (except for the SB's). Do it now bro, thank me later! ;-D

I like this deal a lot for you. You get an ace and a guy with major power upside for two guys in a similar tier as Stanton, maybe even slightly below. You could easily be walking away with the two best players here. Since your subject line is “Fair Trade?”, I’m thinking maybe you’re contemplating making this offer and want to judge whether it’s reasonable. I’d say it’s fair enough to not be insulting or anything, but I wouldn’t pull the trigger if I were the guy with Stanton and Verlander.

I am proposing this trade...good call on the assumption. His outfield is trash and he has no SBs. I have a great OF already and have bourn and reyes for SBs. I had upton last year and think he is overrated.
