speed kills???

I got a little overzealous in my need for speed in my yahoo, 12 team, 12 category, head to head pre-rankings.

My question is: can you punt homers and probably RBIs in most weeks and still do ok in a head to head league.

My league has a general lack of respect for speed (which is partly why I ended up with these players) I would trade Pierre, but I don't know if I can get anyone of value for him and I like his hits/runs/avg. I am not happy with Castillo (his potential steals add little to my team)

1B: D Lee
2B: L Castillo, R Durham
3B: M Teixeira, E Hinske
SS: E Renteria
OF: J Pierre
OF: C Crawford
OF: R Baldelli
OF: A Huff
OF: B Giles

I feel pretty solid with my pitching (SP Schilling, Pedro, Santana, Contreras; RP Isrninghausen, Mantei, Kolb, Nen/Herges)

In a 12 team league I don't think you are hurting badly for Power. You have Lee, Giles, Texiera, and Huff all capable of hitting 30 plus HR's. Plus Durham and Renteria are more than adequate for their position with power. If you feel you have to get more power look to move Castillo or either Pierre or Crawford for a power hitting OFer.

Your team looks good. If you want more power see if you can trade Castillo for a 2B with more power like Giles or Young. They will both still get you some SBs as well.

if you can trade pierre for a good power hitting OF, do it. crawford and company will be just fine for you this year and you could use the pop.
