I'm currently in a 14 team roto league with 5 rp spots and 5 sp spots. How valuable are rp/sp pitchers like Hellickson and Duensing? I've been offered Duensing for Thornton but is it worth it? I can put him in my relief spot but we still do weekly transactions so I don't know if the value is there.
How much is a good rp/sp pitcher worth as compared to a closer? Are there any articles that outline the value? Thanks in advance guys.

Are there standard scoring categories? Rotisserie/H2H? SP's with RP eligibility can boost your K's. Also, if its a weekly H2H league with a additional SP stat like QS, you'd want to be able to get as many starters in as possible, so SP's that can fit in your RP would help. With 5 RP slots, they're slightly more valuable than in a standard roster setting.

Standard Roto league. Pitching categories are wins, k's, saves, era and whip. I guess I'm just having trouble seeing the value of an rp/sp. More wins and strikeouts = what value wise?

It really depends on your team needs. If you don't have SPs that garner a lot of Ks, having RP eligible SPs that can help in that category better your team. If you have SPs with good K totals but poor ERA/WHIP then putting middle relievers with good ratios are better for your RP slots.
As far as trade value goes, there isn't really a huge bump. But when suiting your team needs, the dual eligibility can give you flexibility.
