in a points league, I get: Haren, Adrian Gonzalez, Markakis and Pagan for Choo, Heyward, Kershaw..what you guys think??

Its really hard to tell without your roster. But overall I like the deal, Pagan should be good, Haren isn't quite kershaw but he's damn good in his own right, and gonzalez is gonzalez. Without the roster its hard to give a definitive answer, but i think you can probably do this.

I like it a lot. But one thing - what are you going to do with Markakis? You have Raburn, Tabata, and Huff on the bench already, and I don't see Markakis being much more valuable than any of these guys. This is an issue because the last OF spot is going to be Pagan and Gonzo will take the Util spot, so that leaves you with 3 OF only on your bench... Also, the acquisition of Gonzo makes it so that you will have 4 1B on your roster (Tex, Gonz, Huff, and Davis) which is pretty unnecessary. I think you can make this deal, but maybe look for a backup MI instead of Markakis, or use the WW to get help in the middle. If you do it, I'd look to trade Davis, Huff, or Tabata to see what you can get in the middle infield. I'm also confused as to how you are going to get production out of all of those pitchers. You only have 6 slots, and you have 5 RPs. I don't get how you're going to get your guys in. I'd get more bats on the bench and less pitching. So anyway, I like the deal, but make sure you iron out all of these roster issues.

Yes, I am actually dropping Capps and Rauch..do you think a Zobrist would be better than Markakis in that deal? I just think Markakis could actually do something he's been thought to do for once with a rejuvinated lineup

Kershaw > Haren
Heyward > Markakis
Choo > Pagan

It just seems like you're downgrading in three spots so you can add a 4th first baseman. I guess to me, this trade just doesn't make sense.
