Final Draft of the Year

Postby Padres Fan » Sat Mar 26, 2011 3:10 pm

ESPN Roto, 10 Team , 7 Keepers, Roto, Auction Draft standard 5x5 scoring

This is my most active league all real baseball fans here, not mostly football fans bidin time till Football season. I went in a little worried due to the fact I kept 4 OF and 3 Pitchers, but feel I did okay and a team that is hurtin depth wise is interested in Soria/McGeehee/ and possibly Howard, he has Pujols at $48 bucks which I know I can't keep next season but with my team if I move those 3 and possibly

Howard/Rollins/McGeehee/Soria and/or Danks
for
Pujols/Coghlan/Cueto, and get a low tier closer and Omar Infante of the WW

My Team (still had $4 left)
C-Matt Weiters $11
1B-Ryan Howard $ 20
2B-Neil Walker $10
3B-Evan Longoria $36

OF-Colby Rasmus $4 2010 Keeper
OF-Nick Markakis $9
UTIL-Billy Butler $19
BN-Erick Aybar $1
BN-Ian Desmond $2

Dumping Howard/Rollins is definitly not a bad move, As a phillies fan and watching these guys for years we've seen the best they have to offer both are on the decline. I'm not a fan of Cueto I see no reason he'll get better he is an average pitcher at best. How about keeping MeGehee for CI and dumping Hamilton I dont think this guy is going to play at high level to much longer, his value is at his highest right now. Throw out Hamilton and try and pry a SS in return.

u got Stanton pretty low price considering IMO he should get 35-45 hr and 100 rbis, me like your team with the low cost high reward

I got Desmond to take over for Rollins at trade, not a upgrade but decent, my plan was to keep Hamilton til at least midseason, and see where my needs lie since he would fall under that keep/not to keep scenario at $19 dollars, also even Though I like Longoria, if I'm not at least within the first 3 or 4 places in the standings (possible due to bad judgements and injuries) at trading deadline he could be dealt for some up and comers since $39 is steep keeper wise IMO.

Thanks for the help. I would definitely agree with trying to move howard/rollins. Your batting average looks pretty low right now so I would try and get high average guys in return.

I'm not buying into Stanton. 35-45 homers? Let's be realistic. He's good but he's always going to be around that 25 homer mark. Solid player but I think people who do the ranking love throwing the young guy way up on the list..

Im not ranking highly either, I see maybe up to 30 hrs, I kept him due to lack of cost effective keepers and he was fairly cheap, I think the 35-45 is still a few years away

Yea, he's a great keeper. I completely agree. His upside has yet to come. 30 is the absolute max though for this year. I realistically see him matching last years output..
