Keep 2- Who to take in the 1st round? WHIR

Postby footballisbetter.com » Sat Mar 26, 2011 11:39 am

10 team league. My 2 keepers are Braun and Tulo.

I have the 9th pick in the 1st round. I am thinking these will be the best players left for that pick. Which way would you go? Can you rank the top 3 or so?

Choo
N Cruz
J Upton
McCutchen
Bautista
Lester
Kershaw
J Johnson
Dunn

1. Nelson Cruz
2. Justin Upton
3. Andrew McCutchen

Those guys are going to contribute in all five categories. I wouldn't take a pitcher with the first pick, but out of those I would take Kershaw.

thanks for checking out my question.

I agree with the poster above, go hitting. I actually would put my order of 1. Bautista 2. Cruz 3. McCutchins
I put Bautista up there because power is scarce this year and he is at 3b which is pretty weak as well. I really like McCutchins as well as a guy who will continue to add power and give you some speed.

Thanks for the replies. Please keep them coming.

I would just really rather take a player other then an OF. This is a 10 man league and we only start 3 OF's, so I know there will be plenty of serviceable OF's later in the draft. That is the reason I was looking at Bautista, Dunn and the pitchers.

But I will take an OF if that is my best option.

In a keeper, i would lock up Upton myself, unless you can't keep him.
