Auction style draft ESPN Roto

Postby Padres Fan » Fri Mar 25, 2011 4:44 pm

ESPN 12 team Roto 5x5 (OBP was substituted for Batting Average), 8 Keepers at a price of $5 above previous years price, (i.e Adrian Gonzalez was $19 last season and $24 this season)

I went in the draft with about $163 dollars, and a theory ofnot spending more than $20 on Pitching and Outfielders.

I'm a little worried about relying om Maybin and Gordon. They both might end up fine, but if you can get a more stable player and maybe platoon these two, that would be nice.

I been seeing what deal I can get, but alot of deals are centered around Adrian Gonzalez. I thought od offering David Price, since I won't be keeping him at $24 next season, but I feel I need to wait til mid season to see what my position is,

I think you overpaid for Soto. Could've thrown him back and gotten a cheaper option. I like Gordon as a 5th OF for $1. HE might return nice value. You overpaid for Maybin. I like your pitching staff.

with this being a OIBP league, and he was projected at about .383 for the 2011 I thought it was a good idea to keep him instead of Joe Mauer who I had at $32. with 2 catcher slots I felt I needed- to fill with some quality players

Your infield is a worry IMO

Headley is a fringe starter at best. If he ever shows a power stroke then I like the pick
Rollins-lots of injury issues lately
Ricky Weeks-last year was his first year ever he played a full season. If he repeats it then great but history says that won't happen.

I think Gordon could be a great value if gets full playing time and actually produces like we have hoped for the past two years.

Love Neil Walker-he is going to have a big season.

Hope that helps

help please

Thanks for help on mine. Sorry for the delay. Weeks and Soto could be good for you. I really like your OFs. Not a fan of the Rollins pick as he seems to be declining fast. Good players in the minors. I really like Sano.
