I'd rather give up a more veteran player than Upton. Its like you're giving up a guy with lots of potential (Upton) to get a guy with lots of potential (Beckham). Youk just turned 32. If I were rebuilding I'd see if I couldn't get Beckham plus another very good young talent (Heyward, Pence, Bruce?) for Youk and leave Upton on the team.

Help with mine if you get a chance

Upton was my only way of getting both Beckham and Zimmermann. Hamilton would've only netted me one of them and Granderson. I didn't like giving away Upton, but to get the deal done it had to be him. Originally the plan was to move Youk, Hamilton and maybe 1 or two more to get an established guy and a top prospect but the league has been tough with trading. Got some other moves on the block that I could post for opions...

Not a huge fan of either deal, honestly. The first one seems better to me than the second, as I like Beckham and Zimmerman as young pieces you got in return. I don't like the second deal at all for you - even with Hamilton's injury risks, you should have netted a better return IMO.
