I'd take Tex over Ensberg, but that's probably more due to Williams' dislike of Morgan, over Mike Lamb. Like the guys above, I'm really not worried about the platoon thing. I'm more worried about the fact that he's going to be batting 7th.

Does anybody have any links to anything suggesting that Williams has made statements that he 'dislikes' Ensberg? That's kind of personal. A lot of times, I think that managers not using guys has to do with stuff that we may not really hear about. I have him behind Dmitri Young and, if he plays he plays and if he doesn't, I'll just toss him. Those numbers last year do seem to have a bit of potential though.

I'm kind of curious what exactly Williams had said though. I saw some stuff on one of the Astros boards too but no citations, just the allegation.

Ensberg had promising stats but I find it hard to believe that Williams is grudgeful enough to bench a guy who clearly can play unless the guy has some sort of serious "issues". Maybe Ensberg is some kind of ass. Jack. Dumb. Or wise.

Left Padres camp for "personal reasons" and then sent a message saying not to expect him back. No one knows if he'll be playing at all this year, but then again, nobody cares, either.

Last I checked he wasn't going to platoon. As an Ensberg owner is it safe for me to remove my finger from the trade button?
