What if your fantasy players are not hurt, but being benched in order to rest for actual playoffs?

Is there a workaround for this?

Right, but what if they are benched during your fantasy playoffs. Are you expected to "win" the fantasy playoffs with bench players? By that logic, should I be targeting players in the draft and throughout the season who are just mediocre and don't stand a chance to be benched at any point if healthy?

You can set your league so it does not use the last week. That is probably the best solution.

Don't worry about the playoffs just yet. Draft to win the season.

The "proper" solution to this is to structure your season so that your playoffs end the week before the end of the regular season. My 12-team H2H league, for example has 22 regular weeks and 3 weeks of playoffs (2 teams get a first-week bye).

If it comes to that and you know Youkillis is going to get 3-4 days off to rest an injury you drop him and pick someone else up then. You don't worry about it until the last week of the season
