There are a lot of 2B late that I like. There are not a lot of SS late that I like.

It's a deeper position for sure, but Cano is more of an undisputed #1 at his position than anybody else at any other.

I agree he is the undisputed #1 but I just think there is a much bigger gap between Tulo and the rest of SS than Cano and the rest of 2B.

I don't want to speak for everyone else, but personally for me... this is completely because I feel like the 2B options in rounds 4-8 (Phillips, Weeks, Prado, Johnson, etc) let me hold off on my MI "commitment" until then. I like any of these guys, as opposed to the SS options in that range (Jeter, Ramirez, Reyes) all of whom I'm not really that comfortable with.

I feel like I'm at the level now, after a couple dozen mocks, where I can make that gear shift and go with a MI early and reshape my strategy on the fly... I just don't prefer to do that. The advantage that Hanley/Tulo give you over the rest of your league makes it worth taking that risk (if you have the chance)... I personally don't feel like Cano/Pedroia give me that much of an advantage to make that decision. I'd rather play it safe and easy and go CI/CI/OF with my first three picks then.

Anyone else who wants to take charge if a clear choice is determined may do so for sure. I'll be out most of the rest of the day.

I went with Braun....but once again I wouldn't be upset with a handful of different guys here.

I like Crawford just simply because of the 5 cat stud he can develope into. Possible for him to go .315/110/20/90/50. I likey those numbers ;-D

Thanks for reinforcing how unsure I am about the picks in the middle of the 1st. I went with Longo here, though him and Wright are pretty equal to me. I'm still not sold on a Crawford before Braun, so he'd be my other choice here.

Cano is great but the complete lack of SBs coming from your 2B spot really hurts. Most of the 2B will provide you double digit steals at the very least, so it's alot to make up.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
