BIG TRADE, need advice

Postby mattparmely » Tue Mar 22, 2011 11:52 pm

Standard 5x5 league. Rotisserie.

Should I trade Pujols for Miguel Cabrera & Dustin Pedroia.
But he really wants to do: Pujols, Phillips, & any pitcher I want to give up for: Cabrera, Pedroia, and my choice of Grienke or Josh Johnson.

Another guy is sort of offering Crawford & Fielder for Pujols but he is extremely hesitant. Says he needs 24 hours to think about it. So that could easily not be serious.
Here is my team.

C - Napoli
1B - Pujols
2B - Phillips
SS - Andrus
3B - Youk
OF - Cruz
OF - Eithier
OF - Ellsbury
DH - Votto
Bench - Jennings (Tampa Bay)
Bench - Logan Morrison
Bench - Gaby Sanchez
Bench - Michael Young (Texas for now)
Bench - Brian Roberts

SP - Lee
SP - Carpenter
SP - Hanson
SP - Buchholz
SP - C.J. Wilson
RP - Francisco Rodriguez
RP - Lidge

I would propose Phillips Pujols and Buchholz..for Cabrera Pedroia and Greinke..Think that could be a very favorable trade

if you have the time

I'd take the initial deal and start shopping Phillips to set up your pitching upgrade. MCab is down a bit from Pujols, but getting Pedrioa is nice.

Phillips or Pedrioa and a pitcher... Call it Wilson should get you a nice arm.

Expos... Gone, but not forgotten.

I would do the Pujols/Phillips/pitcher for Cabrera/Pedroia/Johnson.

If Cabrera comes close to his output last season, you really don't lose much. What you do lose you gain back in getting Pedroia. Josh Johnson can make a case to be one of the top 3 pitchers in the NL. He won't get much wins, but will get around 200k's and a sub 3 ERA. I take the deal.
