I wouldn't make the deal since I expect Broxton to bounceback nicely this season. And it would leave you thin at RP.

well i just put out a claim on madson now that lidge is hurt and there are other options out there still like fuentes so i thought since saves is just 1 category that maybe volquez will have a better reward if it pans out... anyone else think i should not do this?

i would rather have Broxton. Just last year he was the #1 closer in the game, of course things turned out differently last year but he still has that kind of production in him. I would wait and see if he starts off hot and then try and move him a few months into the season. He has had back to back bad second halfs so there is still some concern there but he should be fine the first half.

I probably would not..

Assuming Broxton's year last year was just a speed bump, I think he will return to being the dominant closer that we have seen in the past. Volquez is still coming off TJ and has had some command issues. I would hold off

If you have the time

I wouldn't do Upton alone for Volquez. Why are you so fixated on him, out of curiosity?

honestly iam not exactly excited about my pitching staff and feel volquez has high upside and while i might be paying alittle more than i should for him i feel all iam gonna lose out on from upton is steals and homeruns and i have that covered already with other players on my team. but if iam bugging and should really just stay put then by all means let me know lol. i tend to think too much into this fantasy stuff sometimes

broxton was lights out 2 years ago. He only had a couple blow ups last year. I look for him to be really good again. I wouldnt do it. Volguez is in a hitters park remember. viewtopic.php?f=26&t=424737
