Make trade or stay put

Postby ob187 » Tue Mar 22, 2011 3:12 am

I had my draft last night. I had the 5th pick in a three player keeper 5x5 Roto league (10 teams).

I couldn't make the draft due to having NCAA basketball tixs, so what do you think of my auto draft?

My three keepers were:
Votto, Utley and Braun

C-Arencibia, Montero
1B- Votto
2B- Utley
SS- Jeter
3B- Beltre
OF- Braun, Bruce, Hamilton, Ichiro, Del Young
UL- Dunn, McGehee
Bn- Bay
Bn- Hunter

SP- Greinke, Lilly, Marcum, Minor, Peavy
RP- Bailey, Broxton, Lidge, Nathan

Here's a round by round of my draft picks:

1) Josh Hamilton
2) Ichiro Suzuki
3) Adrian Beltre
4) Adam Dunn
5) Jay Bruce
6) Derek Jeter
7) Zack Greinke
8) Casey McGehee
9) Delmon Young
10) Torri Hunter
11) Jason Bay
12) Shaun Marcum
13) Andrew Bailey
14) Jonathan Broxton
15) Joe Nathan
16) Brad Lidge
17) Jake Peavy
18) Ted Lilly
19) Mike Minor
20) JP Arencibia
21) Jesus Montero

You have a strong lineup but I think your rotation is lacking a bit. Maybe you could try trading Beltre and pick up another SP? I don't think going from Beltre to McGehee is too much of a downgrade.

A little help please? viewtopic.php?t=424685

amazing lineup but especially weak rotation and bullpen. Most of your starters are injured and there are a lot of if's for closers. i would use some of that great hitting to address pitching and also some speed. The silver lining is that you got a lot of strength and depth to address those needs. good luck.

I like your hitters and your RP core. I think you're rather thin in SP and would look to trade Beltre and Hamilton for an ace.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=424755
