5th pick and team stratagy

I am in a 5x5 12 team league.

I have the 5th pick so i am looking at beltran , vlad or helton but then after that i wonder which way to go. I was thinking of infiled then a couple pitchers then then rotate P with OF. my first live draft and it starts in 30 mins

Any of those three would make a fine pick in round one. After that, don't etch any strategy into stone - being flexible is the key. Infield may well be the way to go, but if, for instance, one of the elite SPs falls, then drop the plans and jump on the opportunities that present themselves.

yeah i figured live drafts mean very random picks. I tried a live draft last week and the guy in 9th got beltran and vlad. I was shocked cause he even called it!!!

So flexible i will be.
