Albert Pujols - Value

Postby The Raging Inferno » Mon Mar 21, 2011 8:26 pm

I'm looking at moving Pujols for 2 other bats. What value would you be looking at to trade the undisputed #1 pick?

Generally speaking, you always want to be careful giving up the best player in the trade. Since Pujols is the best player in ANY trade, it's tough to trade him and not feel like you just got screwed with your pants on.

That being said, if you could fill two huge, gaping holes AND had a replacement 1B that wasn't going to kill you it might be worth it. Like if you had Chase Headley and Starlin Castro as your starting 3B/SS and you traded Pujols for Jose Reyes and David Wright. Then, maybe.

Maybe.
