Oswalt or Scherzer - WHIR

My pick and I need SPs in 5x5 keeper league. The best two available are Roy & Max.
One hand I like Oswalt as he'll likely get more wins and probably lower whip.
Other hand Max was great after May last year and will likely get more Ks.
Who would be best for 2011 and who would make the better potential keeper?
I'm thinking Max as he likely hasn't hit his ceiling yet but Roy probably has.

oswalt get's more wins = steadier points...umm go with oswalt i did.
scherzer by a furlong that guy was right. i didn't see the whole keeper thing.

Give me Mad Max. Absolutely terrific 2nd half after a brutal start to the season and just love the upside over a solid Oswalt.

Thanks for the responses. Opinions seem as divided as I was between the two. I do think Oswalt is better for this year but likely Scherzer overall in case i look to keep him next year

oswalt def safer this year but max obviously better long run and to be quite honest could be better this year, extra 30-40 ks and the phillys lineup is old and injury ridden so less runs scored for him where the tigers line up is very potent...id go max
