Should I take this trade where I give up Jeter

Postby birdbrains » Mon Mar 21, 2011 5:48 am

I was offered Clay Buccholz and Jhonny Peralta for Derek Jeter ... and another player that of my choice that I would have to drop...This offer doesnt jump out at me...but I am always blind to trades that are offered to me anyway...I do know that Buccholz got shelled a few days ago as that may be why the other mgr wants to pull the trigger plus I have 2 quality SS, with Jeter being the better one, even though he is at the end of his career and this is a keeepr league

Jeter himself is on the decline, and Peralta makes for a nice sleeper this year capable of a 270/25/90 season and for a SS you'd take that right. I think he'll even outproduce Jeter this year, who is more name than anything else. Bucholz for basically nothing, do it.

I would do it just for Buchholz alone.
Don't worry about spring stats.
Bob Welch had a 30 era and went on to win 27 that year.

I wouldn't drop Ogando yet, till they decide on Feliz.
You already have Raburn at CF, i might drop Crisp.
Who knows what Jays are going to do, Francisco is hurting.
