What do you guys think about Jacoby Ellsbury's value this year? It seems like i hear a lot about how "over rated" he is this year, and that "i would never draft where he is being picked".
however, i'm thinking the opposite may be true. On yahoo his ADP is 86, all the way in the 8th round which seems really late to me. Im targetting him in the late 6th/early 7th round in all my drafts this year.
Last year he was consistently being taken inside the top 30, and he obviously had a very serious injury, but by all accounts he is 100% at this time. So do people think that he forgot how to hit, score, and run after missing so much time, or that hes going to crash into his third baseman again this year? Do they think hes really going to bat 9th and have his value drastically diminshed?
All the projections have him ranked inside the top 50 hitters, and thats only projecting ~490 ABs, so with his usual 600+ he should be one of the top 35 or so hitters... or am i missing something?

I think there have been some concerns about him not hitting lead-off. He's being hitting really well this Spring and it seems more likely that he hits lead-off so I would expect his ADP to go up.
Thought i'd bump this thread to see what people think of Ellsbury now thats hes hot and has broken out of his cold start to the season.
At draft time I was very pleased that i got him right around pick #84 in both of my leagues, and im even more happy now with the way hes been hitting. Do you expect him to continue this level of production throughout the year?
And I know its early, but what round do you see him going in next year? How would you compare him with the likes of: Cargo, Granderson, J. Upton, McCutchen, Rasmus, Stubbs, Crawford (go ahead and rank them in order, or if you dont have the time for that then just tell me if you think these guys all belong in the same tier or if there a 2-3 distinct tiers of OF here)

this is exactly why i thought he was such a bargain before the drafts began this season. i didnt understand why nobody thought he would produce the way we expected him to last year.
anybody want to take a crack at ranking these guys rest of season fantasy production?
