9team nl only question

Postby hbg55 » Fri Mar 18, 2011 8:39 pm

We had a player drop out late so we are stuck with 9 teams in a nl obly draft tommorrow night. are offense has only 1 of firstbase,2nd base, 3rdbase, shortstop, and catcher....Then we have 3 outfielders and 1utility spot. pitching is 5starters, 2 relief pitchers and 1 utility pitcher. then we have 5 open spots for either pitching or offense. My question is in this league set up would be a good idea to go for a star studded infield and piece in reast of team...I think with only 9 teams there will be alot of talent to grab in later rounds.....whatcha ya thing???

I disagree. You want to pick the best players and piece together the scrubs at the end. If you don't get Hanley or TUlo for example you shouldn't automatically reach for the next SS (Reyes) instead of drafting Braun/Cargo/etc... But if you can get IF'ers early then you should grab them because there aren't many of them.
