Draft this sunday, any suggestions?

Okay, im in a 5x5 10 player Roto league up to 5 keepers each. My first year and took over a team. I draft 9th out of 10 in snake. 19 player roster, 7 pitchers, 3 bench, 9 hitters

any suggestions where to start? what positions are short this year? and which players should i be looking at?

It kind of depends on who's available in tghe draft. Based on who you have there I'd say your need for a 1B is acute, but if there aren't any good options then you'd wait awhile. You could also start looking at your first Sp in what's esentially round 6 there (although after that one guy you can probably wait a couple of rounds for number two). In general, you need power, so stock up while you can in the draft, and don't be afraid to grab a high-power, poor-average, type guy to help out there (Reynolds, Pena, ect), just maybe not more than one guy like that unless you have some BA studs to pair them with.

Keeping a closer in a 10 team league is a bad idea in my opinion, unless you have no one comparable to keep. 10 team leagues are deep, i think you go for another couple power guys before you go after a SP unless a premier guy like lincecum or halladay or king felix is available.
