TRADE: D.WRIGHT for J. BAUTISTA & R. OSWALT

Postby Devil Doc » Thu Mar 17, 2011 8:33 am

10 Team H2H League, we keep 6.

6x6 scoring, BA, SB, HR, RBI, BB, R -- ERA, WHIP, SV, K, W, Pitcher Team Wins,

Right now: Weeks, Rollins, Wright, Ichiro, J. Johnson, Gallardo

I like the look of this trade a lot, I'm giving up a solid 3B, but recieving a good one, along with a top 15 pitcher IMHO.

I wouldn't touch this trade. Bautista is lock to repeat last year. No guarantee that he hits 30+ HR. Oswalt is too much of a health concern for me. Wright is still young and a top 10 player. Only way I trade Wright is if I get a top 10 type player back. On top of all this, it would hurt your keepers going forward as both guys you are getting are fringe keepers in a 10 team league.

Wouldn't do it. Wright is the cornerstone of your team with great, reliable production....I'd want sure-fire reliable production in return & not sure Bautista or Oswalt offer that.

You must be star-strck by Bautista's magical 50-HR season to even think about this deal. Don't do it. :-t

I meant to say Bautista ISN'T a lock to repeat last year.

Big difference between the two.

Run, don't walk, away from this trade.
League Setup:
13 Team Points League
6 Hitters 3 Pitchers (Positions don't matter)
1B = 1, 2B = 2, 3B = 3, HR = 4, RBI = 1
Win = 12, Save = 5

Really it would be like Wright and Ichiro for Bautista and Oswalt since you'd have to cut someone from your 6 now. Oswalt is iffy to retire at years end, has back problems, not a deal you should be wanting
