-12 team Keeper (this year & next only, then league will restart from scratch) -cats: R-1B-2B-3B-Hr-Rbi-Sb-Bb-K-AVG -positions: C-1b-2b-3b-ss-of-of-of-u-3bench spots for bats
Im already keeping J.Votto & J.Hamilton, and am stumped on my choice for 3rd & final keeper.
R.Zimmerman OR B.Posey
as stated above this is for this year & next only, then league will regenerate fresh. I tend to think Zim is overrated (thats from a Nats fan who lives in DC area), and the 2 "minor" injuries hes had recently arent encouraging. Also the fact that 2 out of last 3 years hes missed 20 or more games. That said he is clearly ranked better on all lists, sometimes rounds better, than Posey. I just kinda salivate about Poseys full season potential after doing what he did last year in only 4 months.
In a 12 team league with only one catcher I'd never keep Posey in the 3rd round. Which is what you are proposing. Zimmerman is the way to go, and I'm no Zim fan either.
I'd keep Posey. Qualifies at 2 positions, is a pure hitter and I think the sky's the limit for the kid. You've seen what Zimmerman can do. I think you are better off going after a Jose Bautista or an Aramis Ramirez later on.
