Max Games Management

I'm in a Yahoo! 12 team 5 X 5 keeper league. The league has a maximum games played limit on each position. 162 games for the INF and C. 486 games for 3 OF positions and 1350 innings for pitchers. In years past I've had trouble managing this part of the game. Can anyone give me some strategies on how to best manage the max games limit?

Not sure this thread belongs in the Commish section, but believe Yahoo provides a "Maximum Games" tally at the bottom of each teams roster page. Believe the "Maximum games" section includes the pace so you can see if you are likely to go over the max. (believe that is in green) or under the max. (previously in red).

Or you can just divide 1350 and 162 by the 6 months26 weeks that comprises the season to arrive at a ballpark monthly number or weekly number to guide your roster moves.
